Engineered Picks

Rigging Plans Built.
On Schedule, Safety First.

Patriot Lifting walks the rigging requirement with the engineer of record, confirms factory lift points, selects below-the-hook gear matched to the load, and brings the lift director when the pick demands one.

Who We Rig For

We rig for steel erectors, mechanical contractors, petrochemical and industrial plants, marine contractors, and any pick that requires more than slings and a hook. Engineered rigging for tight-tolerance sets is part of the regular service.

Areas We Serve

Standard dispatch covers metro Atlanta, the Henry / Spalding / Newton / Rockdale county belt around our Jenkinsburg yard, down I-75 to Macon, and east into the Athens market. Multi-state hauls extend coverage into Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina when the project calls for it.

Fleet Capacity

Cranes from 15 to 275 tons across all-terrain, mobile, rough-terrain, boom truck, and carry deck categories. Every crane operated by our crew.

How We Work

How a Rigging Plan Comes Together

Every rigging plan starts with the load. From there the gear, the geometry, and the lift director (when required) all come together before the crane shows up.

Load Review

We confirm load weight, center of gravity, factory lift points, and any orientation requirements.

Rigging Spec

Gear selected and sized to the load. Spreader bars, lifting beams, or custom below-the-hook configurations engineered when required.

Pre-Lift Plan

The rigging plan agreed with the engineer of record, the crane operator, and the contractor. Lift director assigned when the pick calls for it.

The Pick

Rigging shows up on the truck. The crew runs a pre-lift brief, attaches the gear, and the operator makes the pick under the lift director's signals.

Frequently Asked Questions on Rigging

Common questions on Patriot Lifting rigging. Get in touch if you do not see your answer here.

Do you bring the rigging or do I supply it?

Patriot brings the rigging on every operated rental. Slings, shackles, spreader bars, and standard below-the-hook gear come with the crane. For custom or proprietary lift points, we coordinate with your supplier.

What about engineered picks?

For multi-point lifts, blind sets, or picks requiring engineered rigging, we work with the engineer of record on the lift plan. Custom spreader bars and below-the-hook gear get sourced and rigged before mobilization.

Do you provide a lift director?

Yes. For picks that require a lift director, we provide one. The lift director runs the radio, the signals, and the coordination between the operator and the rigging crew.

Can you rig a job we already have the crane for?

Yes. Rigging as a standalone service is available when you have another crane on site but need engineered rigging or a lift director. We bring the gear and the certified crew.

Do you have certified riggers?

Yes. Our riggers carry the certifications required for engineered picks. Documentation is provided for any job that requires it before mobilization.

What if the lift points are non-standard?

Non-standard lift points get engineered with the engineer of record. We confirm rigging geometry, load distribution, and any custom hardware before the pick.
