Oversize and Overweight

Heavy Haul Service.
On Schedule, Safety First.

Patriot Lifting walks the load, confirms dimensions and weight, plans the route around bridges and roadway limits, pulls oversize and overweight permits, and runs the haul with the right trailer and escort plan.

What We Move

We move oversize machinery, industrial equipment, military and government loads, modular and prefab structures, and the kinds of freight that need a permit and a plan. Single hauls, multi-day moves, and recurring routes are part of the weekly mix.

Areas We Serve

Standard dispatch covers metro Atlanta, the Henry / Spalding / Newton / Rockdale county belt around our Jenkinsburg yard, down I-75 to Macon, and east into the Athens market. Multi-state hauls extend coverage into Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina when the project calls for it.

Fleet Capacity

Cranes from 15 to 275 tons across all-terrain, mobile, rough-terrain, boom truck, and carry deck categories. Every crane operated by our crew.

How We Work

How Our Heavy Haul Services Work

Every haul starts with the load review. From there the route, permits, and trailer selection come together before the truck is on the road.

Load Review

We confirm load dimensions, weight, center of gravity, and any custom rigging requirements.

Route Planning

Route mapped around bridge weight limits, low clearances, and traffic restrictions. Permits pulled for Georgia and any state on the route.

Mobilization

Trailer matched to the load, escort vehicles arranged when required, and the haul scheduled to the access window on both ends.

The Haul

The crew runs the route, delivers the load on schedule, and stays on site for any unload coordination at the receiving end.

Frequently Asked Questions on Heavy Hauling

Common questions on Patriot Lifting heavy hauling. Get in touch if you do not see your answer here.

How heavy can you haul?

Our heavy haul rigs handle most loads up to standard overweight permit limits. For larger or specialized loads, we coordinate with partner carriers and engineer the load distribution to fit the trailer.

Do you handle permits for the haul?

Yes. We pull oversize and overweight permits for Georgia and coordinate adjacent-state permits for multi-state routes. Permit lead time depends on the route and load.

What about escort vehicles?

Escort requirements depend on load dimensions and the route. We arrange escort vehicles when required and factor escort coordination into the haul plan.

Can you do recurring or scheduled hauls?

Yes. Recurring routes for plant equipment moves, project staging, or scheduled equipment transfers get set up through dispatch with the same operator and trailer assignments where possible.

Do you handle interstate hauls?

Yes. Multi-state hauls get planned with state-by-state permit coordination. We handle Georgia DOT permits and coordinate adjacent-state permits as the route requires.

What if the load is non-standard?

Non-standard loads get engineered with the customer or load owner. Center of gravity, cribbing, and custom rigging requirements all factor into the trailer and route plan.
