Railroads and Rail Contractors Across Georgia Work With Us

We work with railroads, rail contractors, and industrial facilities with rail spurs on locomotive repair lifts, railcar re-railing, and derailment recovery across Georgia.

Services

Five service lines run in-house from the Jenkinsburg yard: operated crane rental, rigging, heavy hauling, specialty lifts, and secured storage. One dispatch line for all five, so the schedule and the equipment stay aligned across the job.

Areas We Serve

Standard dispatch covers metro Atlanta, the Henry / Spalding / Newton / Rockdale county belt around our Jenkinsburg yard, down I-75 to Macon, and east into the Athens market. Multi-state hauls extend coverage into Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina when the project calls for it.

Fleet Capacity

Cranes from 15 to 275 tons across all-terrain, mobile, rough-terrain, boom truck, and carry deck categories. Every crane operated by our crew.

Lift Planning

How a Locomotive Lift Works

Every rail pick starts with the site walk and the lift plan. A 134-ton locomotive does not move without confirmed load data, matched cranes, and a rehearsed sequence.

Site Walk

We confirm crane positioning along the right-of-way, ground bearing track-side, overhead clearances, and the swing path.

Pick Plan

Load weights confirmed, engineered rigging selected, and the multi-crane sequence agreed with the railroad and repair crew.

Mobilization

The cranes sized to the lift travel road-legal from Jenkinsburg. Outrigger pads sized to the ground.

The Lift

The crew runs a pre-lift brief, the operators make the tandem pick, and we stay on site until the unit is set and signed off.

Schedule a Rail Lift

Send the unit weight, site location, and target date. We will quote the cranes and lock in the schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions on Train Repair & Derailment

Common questions on Patriot Lifting rail crane work. Get in touch if you do not see your answer here.

Can you lift a full locomotive?

Yes. We recently completed a multi-crane lift of a 134-ton locomotive that needed repair. Locomotive lifts run as engineered tandem picks with matched cranes, load-confirmed rigging, and a lift director on site.

How fast can you respond to a derailment?

Call dispatch at (770) 545-1333. For derailment response we can typically mobilize same-day or next-day from our Jenkinsburg yard, depending on crane size and route permits.

Do you provide rigging for railcar and locomotive picks?

Yes. Engineered rigging is part of the lift plan: slings, spreader bars, and lift points rated for the unit. Tandem-crane coordination is planned before mobilization.

Can you work alongside an active rail line?

Yes. We coordinate the lift window with the railroad, position cranes clear of the active track, and follow the site's flagging and worker protection requirements.

Four Services Out Of One Yard

Most jobs come down to four service lines. We handle each in-house and dispatch from one location, which keeps the schedule, the crew, and the equipment aligned across the lift.
