Steel Erection Contractors Across Metro Atlanta Work With Us

We work with steel erectors on commercial and industrial structural sets, miscellaneous steel placement, joist and decking installations, and the picks that come with active erection work.

Services

Five service lines run in-house from the Jenkinsburg yard: operated crane rental, rigging, heavy hauling, specialty lifts, and secured storage. One dispatch line for all five, so the schedule and the equipment stay aligned across the job.

Areas We Serve

Standard dispatch covers metro Atlanta, the Henry / Spalding / Newton / Rockdale county belt around our Jenkinsburg yard, down I-75 to Macon, and east into the Athens market. Multi-state hauls extend coverage into Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina when the project calls for it.

Fleet Capacity

Cranes from 15 to 275 tons across all-terrain, mobile, rough-terrain, boom truck, and carry deck categories. Every crane operated by our crew.

Lift Planning

How a Steel Erection Lift Works

Every steel pick starts with the site walk and the erection plan. From there the lift sequences with the ironworker crew and the structural schedule.

Site Walk

We confirm crane positioning, ground bearing, overhead clearances, and the swing path through active erection zones.

Pick Plan

Load weights confirmed, rigging selected, piece sequencing agreed with the steel erector, and the lift sequence locked into the erection schedule.

Mobilization

The crane sized to the lift travels road-legal from Jenkinsburg, scheduled to the steel delivery and erection window.

The Set

The crew runs a pre-lift brief, makes the pick to the ironworker crew, and stays on site until the piece is connected and the foreman signs off.

Schedule a Steel Erection Lift

Send the piece weights, site address, and target erection date. We will quote the crane and lock in the schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions From Steel Erection Contractors

Common questions on Patriot Lifting crane work. Get in touch if you do not see your answer here.

Can you stay on site for multi-day erection work?

Yes. Most steel erection runs multi-day. We lock in the crane and the operator for the full erection window, with consistent crew continuity throughout the job.

What capacity do I need for structural steel?

Depends on piece weight and reach. Standard commercial steel runs with mobile or 80-ton all-terrain cranes. Heavier piece weights or longer reaches push to 110 to 275 ton.

Can you coordinate with the ironworker crew?

Yes. Pre-lift briefs include the ironworker foreman, the connections sequence, and the radio plan. The operator follows the crew's pace on every pick.

What about tight-access urban steel sets?

Tight-access urban steel requires careful crane positioning, swing path planning, and possibly multiple crane setups. We walk the site early to identify constraints and plan the picks around them.
