Rooftop Lifts

HVAC Crane Rental. On Schedule, Safety First.

Patriot Lifting walks the site before the crane mobilizes, confirms the swing radius over the occupied building, verifies ground bearing for the outriggers, and clears the path with the mechanical contractor on site.

Boom trucks (24 and 45 tons) for standard rooftop equipment.

Mobile and all-terrain cranes for larger units and longer reaches.

Carry deck for indoor and tight-access mechanical room work.

Mechanical Contractors Across Metro Atlanta Work With Us

We work with mechanical contractors on rooftop unit replacements, ground-mount installs, condenser swaps, and chiller sets. The picks repeat. The job sites change. The planning is the same.

Services

Five service lines run in-house from the Jenkinsburg yard: operated crane rental, rigging, heavy hauling, specialty lifts, and secured storage. One dispatch line for all five, so the schedule and the equipment stay aligned across the job.

Areas We Serve

Standard dispatch covers metro Atlanta, the Henry / Spalding / Newton / Rockdale county belt around our Jenkinsburg yard, down I-75 to Macon, and east into the Athens market. Multi-state hauls extend coverage into Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina when the project calls for it.

Fleet Capacity

Cranes from 15 to 275 tons across all-terrain, mobile, rough-terrain, boom truck, and carry deck categories. Every crane operated by our crew.

Lift Planning

How an HVAC Crane Lift Works

Every HVAC pick starts with the site walk. From there the lift sequences with the mechanical contractor's schedule and the building's access window.

Site Walk

We confirm crane positioning, ground bearing, overhead clearances, and the swing path over the occupied building.

Pick Plan

Load weights confirmed against the manufacturer's spec, rigging selected, and the lift sequence agreed with the mechanical contractor.

Mobilization

The crane sized to the lift travels road-legal from Jenkinsburg. Outrigger pads sized to the ground conditions on site.

The Set

The crew runs a pre-lift brief, makes the pick, and stays on site until the unit is set and the mechanical team signs off.

Schedule an HVAC Pick

Send the unit weight, building address, and target date. We will quote the crane and lock in the schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions From HVAC Contractors

Common questions on Patriot Lifting crane work. Get in touch if you do not see your answer here.

What size crane do I need for a rooftop unit replacement?

Depends on unit weight, building height, and setback. Most standard rooftop unit swaps run with a 24-ton or 45-ton boom truck. Larger commercial units, mid-rise buildings, or longer reaches push to mobile or all-terrain cranes from 60 to 110 tons.

How do you handle access on tight commercial sites?

We walk the site before mobilization. If the only crane setup spot is on a public street or alley, we confirm permits and traffic control. If outriggers need to land on something other than asphalt, we bring mats and cribbing.

Can you set units when the building is occupied?

Most of our HVAC work happens with occupied buildings. We plan the swing path, time the pick to the schedule the property manager allows, and stay outside the occupied footprint with the boom.

Do you provide the rigging for the unit?

Yes. We bring slings, spreaders, and below-the-hook gear matched to the unit weight and any factory lift points specified by the manufacturer.

Our Services

Four Services Out Of One Yard

Most jobs come down to four service lines. We handle each in-house and dispatch from one location, which keeps the schedule, the crew, and the equipment aligned across the lift.
