DOT and Bridge Contractors Across Metro Atlanta Work With Us

We work with bridge contractors and DOT crews on girder sets, deck repairs, structural placements, and highway sign and barrier installations across Georgia.

Services

Five service lines run in-house from the Jenkinsburg yard: operated crane rental, rigging, heavy hauling, specialty lifts, and secured storage. One dispatch line for all five, so the schedule and the equipment stay aligned across the job.

Areas We Serve

Standard dispatch covers metro Atlanta, the Henry / Spalding / Newton / Rockdale county belt around our Jenkinsburg yard, down I-75 to Macon, and east into the Athens market. Multi-state hauls extend coverage into Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina when the project calls for it.

Fleet Capacity

Cranes from 15 to 275 tons across all-terrain, mobile, rough-terrain, boom truck, and carry deck categories. Every crane operated by our crew.

Lift Planning

How a Bridge Lift Works

Every bridge pick starts with the site walk and the lane closure plan. From there the lift sequences with the GC and the closure window.

Site Walk

We confirm crane positioning, ground bearing on roadway shoulders, overhead clearances, and the closure footprint.

Pick Plan

Load weights confirmed, rigging selected, MUTCD-compliant traffic control plan agreed with the GC.

Mobilization

The crane sized to the lift travels road-legal from Jenkinsburg. Outrigger pads sized to the ground.

The Set

The crew runs a pre-lift brief, makes the pick within the closure window, and clears the site for traffic to return.

Schedule a Bridge Lift

Send the load weight, bridge or highway location, and target closure date. We will quote the crane and lock in the schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions From Bridge Contractors

Common questions on Patriot Lifting crane work. Get in touch if you do not see your answer here.

What size crane do I need for a bridge girder set?

Depends on girder weight and reach. Most highway girder picks run with an 80 to 275-ton all-terrain crane. Span length, lift radius, and ground bearing all factor into the recommendation.

Can you work within a lane closure window?

Yes. We plan the pick to fit the closure schedule, mobilize so the crane is set before the window opens, and clear out before traffic returns.

Do you handle traffic control coordination?

We coordinate with the GC and DOT for MUTCD-compliant setups. The contractor or DOT typically supplies the traffic control plan; we plan our crane position around it.

Do you have permits for oversize loads on Georgia highways?

Yes. We handle Georgia DOT permits for crane mobilization and any oversize loads we are hauling. Lead times vary by route and load size.

Our Services

Four Services Out Of One Yard

Most jobs come down to four service lines. We handle each in-house and dispatch from one location, which keeps the schedule, the crew, and the equipment aligned across the lift.
