What is a load chart…?
Think about it: a crane lift is just a game of leverage.
You have your weight on one side.
A straight line up (the cable).
The boom down (the hypotenuse of the triangle).
And the crane’s weight on the other side.
How much we can lift for different boom lengths and angles creates what we call a “load chart.”
Every crane comes with one.
And as a crane operator, you get good at reading them!
You also get to know your crane and what it can lift / when.
We love our load charts! And it means we can lift just about anything you’ve got 😎
